The registry is a database
that is located on your computer that keeps track
everything related to your computer - settings such
as: hardware, software, and user information. For
example, if a software application called "NewSoftware"
is installed on your computer - your registry would
contain all the information about "NewSoftware"
such as where and how it was installed.
